This Boston punk/metal band features low-tuned guitars playing catchy, ball-crushing licks. Their aggressive style is led by frontman Ironlung, who doesn't bother with singing the high notes, preferring to growl his dark-but-smart lyrics. The disc begins with "Drunken Hangman," a song about a small town hangman who stays drunk in an attempt to enjoy his work. Other cuts on the CD include "Lunatic Yankee Spectre," "Scream of the Wendigo," and the title track, "Balls Deep". This is Scissorfight's second disc on the very cool Wonderdrug label.
