Gooding Factory Blue - Songs From The Unrealized Film Script (Sixth Sense Records) If the music on this CD is any indication of the “unrealized” script’s mood, it might be something David Lynch could direct. This is an eerie, sometimes depressing collection of techno-tinged tracks. The compositions, all minor key, are intriguing. Being that it was meant to be a soundtrack, there are few vocals on it. Yet a tragic, almost urgent message is clearly communicated. I was left wondering what happened to the unrealized film script, which lends an even more mysterious edge to this cabalistic disc. The album is beautifully disturbing. It’s the kind of music you drink heavy red wine with, alone in a candlelit room. Jeff Muendel |
